Another notebook page dating from a transaction on 30 January 1961 consisting of 12 paintings in total being posted to a client working in Bombay. This page shows eight paintings, the next four will follow in the next notebook page.
The paintings are as follows.

8) Fruit stall Rs 115/-
are these thumbnails done after finsishing the paintings?
ReplyDeleteAjay as far as I am aware Paul did the small sketches after he had finished the paintings. They were purely a way for him to keep track on the paintings that he had sent out on approval for prospective purchasers to examine. This way he had an idea of what he had sent out as they did not buy all the paintings. They would choose the ones they wanted and return the others with their cheque for payment.
